A good idea rarely stays in one tool.

Eight projects to try, from the first mark to a finished piece. Follow a route, skip a step or make it your own. Use separate windows or keep your studios together in Workscape.

01 / CONNECTED WORKFLOW

Make a moth-print collection

Take one small drawing further: a print, a patterned sheet and a moving strip can all grow from the same motif.

  • Wobble: draw a moth, leaf or character, or give it a short hand-drawn loop.
  • Dither: explore a limited palette and ink texture until the artwork feels like a print.
  • Repeat: arrange the rendered motif into a seamless pattern or a scrolling strip for a banner.

02 / CONNECTED WORKFLOW

Give a place its own surfaces

Build a coastal town whose walls, paths and water feel like they belong together.

  • Material: bring in a scan or photograph, then shape its placement and finish into a surface tile.
  • World: use the colour tile for a map surface and adjust its scale, rotation and offset.
  • Try several finishes beside your map in Workscape, then keep the one that suits the scene.

03 / CONNECTED WORKFLOW

Turn a pattern into a room

A little tiled illustration can become wallpaper, a floor or a decorative finish.

  • Repeat: build a tile from stars, flowers, marks or your own artwork.
  • Material: use the tile as a texture or artwork fill for a crafted design.
  • World: try the pattern on a room floor or map surface. This uses a still tile, rather than an animated map texture.

04 / CONNECTED WORKFLOW

Make lettering part of the artwork

Create a gig-poster title or a print-style wordmark instead of leaving type as an afterthought.

  • Library: compare fonts using your actual words and choose the character you want.
  • Send a transparent specimen PNG to Dither for ink and palette treatments, or to Wobble to draw around it.
  • Keep the font and native projects alongside the rendered lettering if you want to revisit the design.

05 / CONNECTED WORKFLOW

Find a musical idea in a score

Use a short phrase as the beginning of a game cue, a gentle loop or a different arrangement.

  • Library: choose a supported MIDI file and send it to Sound.
  • Sound: pick the passage and parts, listen, then reshape the notes, instruments and arrangement.
  • Save the editable track and export a WAV or MIDI when it fits your project. Use scores whose rights permit your intended use.

06 / CONNECTED WORKFLOW

Give an illustrated scene a sound

Make a rainy harbour, a cosy room or a strange little world feel alive while you work.

  • Sound: compose a short loop, or build an effect from tones, noise, impacts and your own recordings.
  • Send a rendered playback attachment to a supported visual project, such as World, and listen alongside the artwork.
  • Keep the Sound project for later edits. Export sound and images separately when assembling a final video.

07 / CONNECTED WORKFLOW

Build a cover from your collection

Bring sketches, textures and lettering together into a book cover, poster or artwork sheet.

  • Library: gather and shortlist your assets, then arrange them in Production.
  • Place, crop and mask artwork to find the composition; use Material to create a missing texture or finish.
  • Export the finished design and keep its original assets available for the next revision.

08 / CONNECTED WORKFLOW

Keep a whole idea on one desk

Work on a poster and its soundtrack, or a pattern and its surface treatment, without losing your place.

  • Workscape: open the studios you need and choose a side-by-side working pair.
  • Send work to an existing tab; detach a studio when you need more space and bring it back while it remains open.
  • Save a .jagoworkspace checkpoint to keep the editable documents and working arrangement together.
